“I can do it all by myself!” If you have children, you have heard these words. You want them to learn how to do things on their own, but usually they pick times to try when it is least convenient for you. Walking out the door, already late is the time they want to tie their shoes for the first time.

Jesus is my Savior from Satan

The reason the Son of God appeared was to destroy the devil’s work.
– 1 John 3:8

Is the devil real? He doesn’t really exist, right? WRONG! The devil is a fallen angel. He is called Satan, which means “adversary.” He has one goal. He wants to literally “give you hell.” Picture him as a prosecutor standing before the judgment seat of God. He talks about your character flaws like pride, anger, and your evil desires of greed and lust. He’s very convincing. And that “father of lies” is not lying. You can’t deny what he says about you. It appears his case work will bring about an eternal sentence of hell for you.

Words of Mass Destruction Combated with Words of Forgiveness

“If your brother or sister sins, go and point out their fault, just between the two of you. If they listen to you, you have won them over. But if they will not listen, take one or two others along, so that ‘every matter may be established by the testimony of two or three witnesses.’ If they still refuse to listen, tell it to the church; and if they refuse to listen even to the church, treat them as you would a pagan or a tax collector. Truly I tell you, whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.” (Matthew 18:15-18)
