Shepherd of the Hills Ministry A Look Ahead – 2023-2024
A quick look back over this past fiscal year of ministry (2022-23) gives us many reasons to be grateful to God.

God brought us into contact with over 160 people who were unchurched and with whom we had or have opportunities to share the gospel. 5 adults and 7 children were baptized. 20 people became part of our church family.

Participation in worship increased from 141/week to 162/week. Although this is still below our pre-COVID mark of 200/week, we are encouraged to see this increase. Bible classes and Sunday School participation also increased. The Lord moved his people to generous support of our ministry ($20,000 over 2022-2023).

Looking ahead, we will continue to encourage gathering for in-person worship. We are conducting Bible Classes this summer that will serve as the basis for evaluating our church governance and ministry operations. We will also be reviewing small groups models and Linglestown Life UMC (@LinglestownLife) / Twitterdetermining if small groups can help us grow in faith and in supportive relationships. We continue to work with Spirit of Life in Caledonia as they progress on plans to start a mission church in Hastings and also build an outreach culture in our congregation with our “Everyone Outreach” team.
Please pray for God’s blessings as we GATHER to hear the gospel, GROW in faith and love, and GO to share the gospel with others!
