Entering the Building

You’ll enter from the north side. Straight ahead is the sanctuary where worship is held. A Quiet Room is located just outside the sanctuary for parents with little ones.

Bible Class & Sunday School

Adult Bible Class meets in the sanctuary between the 8:00 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. worship services. Parents are welcome to bring young children with them, and our Quiet Room just outside the sanctuary is also available if little ones need a break during class time. Sunday School for children is held during this same hour in our fellowship hall, located past the restrooms. Children will enjoy a fun, Christ-centered learning environment with stories, activities, and caring teachers.

Restrooms & Facilities

Restrooms are located to the right down the main hallway as you enter the building. They are easy to find, clearly marked, and equipped with changing tables for families with young children.

Worship That Welcomes Children

At Shepherd of the Hills, we cherish having children in worship. Their presence brings life, joy, and energy to the service — and we want families to feel relaxed and welcome from the moment they walk in.

We also understand that little ones sometimes need a moment. Parents are always free to step out, re-group, or use the helpful spaces we’ve prepared so everyone can participate comfortably.

Support for Young Families

We provide child care for little ones up to Kindergarten during the late service, right after the children’s message. This gives parents a chance to focus on the sermon while their child enjoys a safe and caring environment.

Whether your children stay with you in worship or visit Children’s Church, we want you to feel supported — not stressed. Your family belongs here, and we’re thankful to welcome you.

Visiting for the First Time?

Visiting a church for the first time can feel like a big step. We want to make it simple.

When you come to our church, you’ll find a friendly group of people gathered to hear God’s Word and receive his gifts. We don’t come because we have everything figured out. We come because we need Jesus – his forgiveness, his truth, his strength for each day.

Our worship follows a reverent and Christ-centered liturgy, grounded in Scripture and focused on the good news of salvation. You’ll hear readings from the Bible, sing hymns both old and new, join in prayer, and listen to a sermon that applies God’s Word to real life. Each service points us to Jesus, the one who took our sin and gave us his righteousness.

We also celebrate the Lord’s Supper, where Jesus gives us his true body and blood for the forgiveness of sins. Because communion expresses both unity in faith and a shared confession, we invite those who are members of our congregation or a sister WELS or ELS church to commune with us. If you’re visiting and would like to learn more about our practice, the pastor would be glad to speak with you.

You don’t need to dress a certain way. Some wear ties. Others wear jeans. Come as you are. You’ll be welcomed.

We also offer Bible studies and Sunday School for those who want to grow deeper in faith and understanding. If you’re new or just starting to ask spiritual questions, you’re not alone. We’d love to walk with you.

If you’re wondering what we believe or how to become a member, we’re happy to talk more. But there’s no pressure. Just come and hear the Word.

You are welcome here.

Shepherd of the Hills is a church where faith is nurtured,
relationships grow, and God’s love is lived out.

That begins with a single step: your visit.

We want it to feel natural, uplifting, and personal,
because that’s what church is meant to be.

“Let us consider how we may spur one another on
toward love and good deeds… encouraging one another.”

— Hebrews 10:24–25
