Entering the Building
You’ll enter from the north side. Straight ahead is the sanctuary where worship is held. A Quiet Room is located just outside the sanctuary for parents with little ones.
Bible Class & Sunday School
Adult Bible Class meets in the sanctuary between the 8:00 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. worship services. Parents are welcome to bring young children with them, and our Quiet Room just outside the sanctuary is also available if little ones need a break during class time. Sunday School for children is held during this same hour in our fellowship hall, located past the restrooms. Children will enjoy a fun, Christ-centered learning environment with stories, activities, and caring teachers.
Restrooms & Facilities
Restrooms are located to the right down the main hallway as you enter the building. They are easy to find, clearly marked, and equipped with changing tables for families with young children.
Worship That Welcomes Children
At Shepherd of the Hills, we cherish having children in worship. Their presence brings life, joy, and energy to the service and we want families to feel relaxed and welcome from the moment they walk in.
We also understand that little ones sometimes need a moment. Parents are always free to step out, re-group, or use the helpful spaces we’ve prepared so everyone can participate comfortably.
Support for Young Families
We provide child care for little ones up to Kindergarten during the late service, right after the children’s message. This gives parents a chance to focus on the sermon while their child enjoys a safe and caring environment.
Whether your children stay with you in worship or visit Children’s Church, we want you to feel supported — not stressed. Your family belongs here, and we’re thankful to welcome you.
A Worship Style That Is Timeless
Liturgy that connects us across generations.
Our worship follows a historic liturgy used by Christians for centuries. It keeps us connected to timeless truths, centers our hearts on God’s grace in Christ, and fills our service with joyful singing. Each Sunday, you’ll leave encouraged, grounded, and strengthened for the week ahead.
Holy Communion
Christ’s forgiveness, personally given.
In Holy Communion, Jesus gives us his true body and blood for the forgiveness of sins. Because sharing the Lord’s Supper expresses unity in faith, we invite members of our congregation and church body (WELS) to commune.
If you’re visiting and would like to participate, please speak with one of our pastors—they’d love to meet with you and talk through what we believe.
Preaching That Is Good News
Hope that heals, not rules that weigh you down.
Our sermons don’t offer just “good advice.” They bring the good news of Jesus into your stress, guilt, and worries—reminding you that God is with you, strengthening you, and guiding you toward eternal life. You’ll leave uplifted, not burdened.
