GROUPS
SHEPHERDESS GUILD
This group that meets the 3rd Thursday of each month at 6:30 p.m. is for all women of Shepherd of the Hills. This group meets to encourage Christian fellowship and to serve our Savior in special projects. If you need more incentive, come for the great dessert!
ALTAR GUILD
This is for anyone who wish to help care for the altar, communion ware, setting up for baptisms and flowers for worship services. Service is on a rotation basis.
CHOIR
All interested adults who enjoy singing! Always looking for more voices to help make the choir bigger and better. Choir meets ever Tuesday night at 6:30 p.m.
YOUTH GROUP
Teens who want to get together with fellow Christian teens will enjoy the fun and fellowship of our youth group meetings. Interesting guest speakers and videos that address teen issues help deepen faith and encourage Christian livings.
"CIRCLE OF FRIENDSHIP"
A Women's Support Group
Thursdays @ 6:30 p.m. (We meet all year long)
Our weekly support group exists under the auspices of the Christ Care ministry at Shepherd of the Hills. Its purpose is to provide support and encouragement to women who are facing a variety of difficulites in their own lives or in the lives of those they love. The group exists to serve, not only women of our church, but any lady in the community who is struggling with worries and concerns. We meet weekly througout the year, even during the summer months.
Our small group usually numbers six or less at a meeting. Ladies attend as their schedules permit. Women new to the group are warmly welcomed! Some of the concerns brought up during past meetings include the following: divorce issues, relationship concerns, unemployment worries, lack of health insurance, other financial issues, health worries, concerns over the spiritual welfare of children and other loved ones, gratefulness regarding prayers answered; blessings given.
Jesus says, "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest." (Matthew 11:28) It is difficult to carry burdens alone. By joining our group, we pray that you will find strength and comfort from your Savior Jesus and loving encouragement from your sisters in Christ. There is a special "Circle of Friendship" awaiting you! Try us; we think you will like what you experience!
